A Love Bloomed: chapter 5 "What Plan?"
Shadow slightly chuckled under his breath as he lifted Amy up to her feet for support. Amy gripped on to his sleeve as he heaved up. But without a sound, Amy accidentally twisted her ankle while hitting it against the coffee table and began to fall again. “Aaa!”  Shadow became alert of Amy’s clumsiness and caught her by the waist. Fingers soft as silk and the grip of a soldier, Amy became stunned by his speed and then blushed a little by the occurred position they accompanied in. He had leaned all the way over just over the lobby couch and Amy had tightened her grip too hard on his arms. Their faces were only inches apart from a kiss. People grew amazed at the scene and created rumors from nowhere in seconds.
One over weight female dog with a baby in each hand whispered, “their probably on a honeymoon of some sort. They act as if they has done ‘this’ before.” She giggled at her own joke which made her kids begin to jiggle on her enormous belly. Another couple began snickering at them too, a male lynx and a female fox. They both dressed royalty with their velvet coats and fur hats covering their faces. The fox had an odd obnoxious laugh you would only hear a snobby person say. She sounded as if she had a fist shoved up both her nostrils and a frog in her throat. But the weirdest part was that she snorted when she laughed which brought miles around to see. “Oh, look at that couple over thra. Why can you be more like that Spear? Tehteehehe (snort)"
Shadow and Amy turn their heads towards her and looked as if they saw a ghost.
Shadow: 0_0 Uh… *looks down at his hands*” Oh!” *blushes hard* “I-I um… Ssssorry Ames. I-..I just didn’t want you to fall or anything.”
He swiftly lifted Amy up, grabbed her hand, and let her to the long trail of stairs. His palm was as soft as newborn’s fur. Amy didn’t struggle, instead she just gripped tighter on his hand. “Where are we going?” she asked not to concern this time. (Amy was still in a daze at the time from Shadow earlier) “Pht! What do you think? Where going to my suite so you can get cleaned up. You look like hell anyway.” Amy looked down at her moving feet back up to her chest. She had twigs in her quills, yet again, leaving her in a messy situation along with her dripping wet clothes. They had begun to stick to her body revealing some private parts.
Shadow tilted his head towards her and started to blush at Amy’s appearance. He thought to himself of trying to get Amy out of her wet clothes without being mistaken for a pervert. He pondered and struggled a bit, but by the time they had reached his suite he thought of a plan. He chuckled lightly under his breathe as he reached for his room card and slid it in the slot.
A small beep buzzed as the door opened automatically without a creak to be heard.
“Oh, my…” Amy couldn’t find the words to describe the room. I was beautiful from top to bottom all together. The ceilings were covered with glass mirrors and a large chandler shimmering in the rain outside. Each crystal hanging had exposed their exquisite beauty, each with a small twinkle. The walls were painted a bright red and the silky black bed was larger then a king by the least! Wait! One bed?
Amy toke thought into that for a second and grimaced at Shadow who was sittin at the foot of it.
“Well?” he began “What do you think?”.
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out you idiot!” Amy placed her hands to her hips and leaned into to his face not looking too pleased with him. Shadow leaned away in confusion, not knowing of her disapprove of it. He raised a brow and finally asked “What’s the matter? Don’t you like it?” His lip began to quiver in a puppy like way with his eyes widening in sparkles. “Damn him” thought Amy “Why does he have to be so cute when he fakes? Hmmm? I guess that’s why he and Sonic used to call each other fakers.”
Amy shook her head slightly out of the thought and starred directly into the black hedgehog’s eye trying to be intimidating. Shadow starred back, but as he did, Amy could have sworn by how stiff as stone he might by just sitting; that he began creeping his head up closer to her causing her to back away. His eyes glistened in to rain almost fooling Amy that he was crying, but he wasn’t. Usually his eyes are full of hate and despair, but… This was different. He seemed softer, more comfortable,…strangely more sincere.  
Shadow’s lips pulled over his mouth revealing his bright white fangs slowly breaking into a small smirk. His eye lids lowered half-way as he lifted himself up hovering himself over Amy. Her view changed while she still stood there with a pissed brow and frown to go with it.
Shadow chuckled in his throat making his chest vibrate. “Could you please try an acting class or something? That had no effect on me what so ever.” He grabbed Amy’s wrists and carefully placed them to her sides trying to make her relax a bit. The only thing that came from her was a heavy “hmf!”.
As the minutes passed, the two hedgehogs sat quietly on the gold leather sofa and watched the weather-watch- LOOK OUT! On channel 9 News. Shadow looked down to Amy noticing her worried expression. Her fingers clenched into little fists and her straight teeth were grinding into one another with worry.  Shadow couldn’t take it, he  got up from his seat and proclaimed an announcement while his hands at his sides.
“Enough games!” Shadow announced in the room. Amy was still concentrating on the News and was startled by his sudden voice jumping at little in alarm. He walked to his closet and grabbed a pair of his dark red sweats and a white T-shirt from the hanger. “Here” he tossed them to Amy.
“Huh?” Amy was confused at his offer. “What do you mean huh? You’ll catch a cold in those clothes. Now…” he paused a moment and turned his attention towards the bathroom door; pointing his finger. “Go take a hot shower and come back out when your descent”
Amy looked back down at her hands were the clothes that rested in her grip. She didn’t want to worry about it, so she did what she was told and strolled to the bathroom and locked it from the back. But it still bothered her. Amy couldn't help but wonder why Shadow was so,...so... nice. The borrowed clothes, the stay in the hotel room with him, and the unknown thoughts that scrabbled in his unknown mind of a male. *Sigh* "Well..." she began "I guess I dont have anything TO worry about. I mean,  I did help him remember his promise to Maria, so I guess he's only returning the favor." While looking down at her feet, she smiled a bit. She rose her head to take a look at the bathroom. She gaped at the sight of the pearly bathroom counter and golden tub that sparkled in the rain that was still glistening.
Amy waste no time, undressed, and started that water. "You know what" She was begininng to talk to her self. She switched the knob and slowly placed herself in the relaxing water. "Nothing can go wrong tonight..." ^_^
In the other room, Shadow grabbed quilts and large pillows and flung them to the couch. He pulled the pull-out bed and started a pallet for himself. He straighten the sheets to perfection without a single wrinkle to be shown.
“There” he brushed his hands together. “Now she can’t start complaining about the bed anymore.” He paced to the old fashioned phone hanging on the wall and dialed room service. It rang a couple of times before someone answered. “Hello? Yes, this is Shadow in suite 101. I need a bottle of sham pane and your new specialty of steak.”
The male Hispanic hedgehog replied, “Why senor Shadow, do you have a special someone in there with you?”
Shadow hesitated a bit and then replied with a slight throat laugh. “Why yes I do… and tonight should be most enjoyable for the both of us…”
